Viral infections trigger neuropsychiatric symptoms


COVID-19 is associated with increased risks of neurological and psychiatric sequelae. Multiple studies demonstrate that bacterial and viral infections can trigger neuropsychiatric symptoms.

The following studies examine the association between autoimmunity, viral infections and neuropsychiatric syndromes.
